These units have a 12 volt DC socket on the rear and are supplied with a 240 VAC to 12 VDC Power Supply Unit (PSU) as standard. For direct connection to 12 VDC simply cut the DC lead off the power supply at the PSU block end to give you a good length of DC cable, trim back the outer insulation to expose the outer shield, then twist it together for the 12V -ve connection and the inner white core is the 12vdc +ve connection. Doing it this way ensures the DC connector is the correct size / type to properly fit the monitor 12 volt socket and can handle the current adequately.
